Fickser (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the website at fickser.com — a platform where people discover, vote on, and debate the world's questions. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and how you can exercise your rights.
When you sign in with a social provider (Google, X, Facebook, LinkedIn, or Reddit) we receive your email address, display name, and profile picture from that provider. When you sign in via magic link we only collect your email address. You control your display name, bio, and avatar from your profile settings.
We record the votes you cast, comments and replies you post, options you suggest, and debates you create. Votes are public by default; you can mark individual votes private at any time from your profile page.
We collect standard server logs including IP addresses, browser type, and referring URLs for security and performance purposes. We use Vercel Analytics for aggregated, anonymised page-view statistics — no cross-site tracking cookies are set.
When you vote we may record your approximate country or region (derived from your IP address via Vercel's geo headers) to power demographic breakdown charts. This is stored as a region code (e.g. “AU” or “US-CA”) and is never used for advertising.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data for targeted advertising.
We rely on the following sub-processors to operate the service:
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Vote and comment records are retained to preserve the integrity of debate history. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time by emailing info@fickser.com. Aggregated, anonymised statistics derived from your data may be retained indefinitely.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
To exercise any of these rights, email info@fickser.com. We will respond within 30 days.
Fickser uses a single first-party session cookie set by Supabase Auth to keep you signed in. No third-party advertising or tracking cookies are used. Vercel Analytics operates without cookies using privacy-preserving techniques.
Fickser is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email and will update the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of Fickser after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
